¡Explore el Himalaya! Spanish Language Tours at RMA

Explore Himalayan art in Spanish! The Rubin Museum of Art is now offering Spanish language tours for Spanish-speaking audiences of all ages. Through our tours, visitors will encounter ancient cultures and religions and an exquisite collection of Himalayan art. The Spanish language tour will compare, contrast, and make connections between different Latino and Hispanic cultures and cultures from the Himalayas. Please join us in this journey to the “Roof of the World” through paintings, textiles, and sculptures.

Please note: The museum is open Monday and Thursday from 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Wednesday from 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Friday from 11:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Closed Tuesdays.

¡Explore el arte del Himalaya en español! El Rubin Museum of Art ofrece visitas guiadas en español el tercer sábado de cada mes a la 1 pm. El museo también ofrece visitas especiales para personas de la tercera edad, estudiantes que aprenden inglés como segunda lengua, estudiantes de español y turistas de habla española. A través de nuestras visitas descubrirán interesantes culturas y religiones y una magnifica colección de arte que les permitirá establecer puntos de comparación y de contraste entre nuestras culturas y tradiciones y las del Himalaya. Les invitamos a que nos acompañen en este viaje al Techo del Mundo a través de pinturas, esculturas y tejidos.

El museo abre los lunes y jueves de 11 am a 5 pm, los miércoles de 11:00 a.m. a 7:00 p.m., los viernes de 11:00 a.m. a 10:00 p.m. y los sábados y domingos de 11:00 a.m. a 6:00 p.m.. El museo cierra los martes.

 

Tibetan Language Tours

Led by a Tibetan-born museum guide, Tibetan language tours lead participants through a thematic exploration of Himalayan Art offered from a Tibetan perspective. Visitors will encounter traditional thangkas and sculptures while learning about the significant contribution of Tibetan art from the Himalayan region.

  • The museum is closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.
