School Tours
A fieldtrip to the Rubin Museum of Art is an exciting way to enhance curriculum and expand student learning. Tours at the museum for school groups are designed to introduce and develop knowledge of Himalayan traditions while encouraging meaningful explorations of the art. RMA guides can adapt tours to meet specific curricular connections. Tours last one hour and you and your students are welcome to continue to explore the museum on your own afterwards if your schedule permits.
Pre-visit Lessons for K-12
When you schedule a school tour with the Rubin Museum you may also arrange for an in-class pre-visit lesson led by one of our museum educators free of charge. These 45-minute interactive presentations prepare students for their upcoming fieldtrip and support age-appropriate learning. See K-12 School Programs to schedule your in-class pre-visit.
