Teen Guide Council Gallery

In 2011, Teen Guide Council Leaders worked with Arts Collaborative Tim Rollins and K.O.S. (Kids of Survival) to do a collaborative project based on Avalokiteshvara from the Rubin Museum of Art's collection.  Avalokiteshvara holds a wish fulfilling gem which promises that any dream will be accomplished.  Students reimagined what their own Avalokiteshvara wish-fulfilling jewel would look like in a hands-on workshop using watercolor, acrylic and india inks, rag paper, collage and xerography on linen paper.

  • Tuesday: Closed
  • Wednesday: 11 a.m – 7 p.m.
  • Thursday: 11 a.m – 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 11 a.m – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m – 6 p.m.

  • The museum is closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.

  • The Café and the Shop are open during the museum hours.

  • Gallery admission is free every Friday from 6-10 p.m.
  • Gallery admission is free for seniors (65 and older) on the first Monday of every month.
