STO from Cinders Gallery

This Fall, Teen Art Labs worked with artist and Cinders Gallery owner STO, whose most recent artwork involves paper mache sculptures that reanimate the mundane objects and situations of our everyday lives with raw textures, assemblage, humor, and color.  Sto uses everyday materials such as paper, newspaper, cardboard, wood, glue, flour, water, and tape to create these sculptures.  Sto initiated Teen Art Labs into the "way of the mache" to help teens develop props and sets for the narrative photography they are working on.
