For millennia, humans have used sound for healing and to access deeper states of consciousness.  This workshop explores singing bowls’ evolution from ancient meditation tools to their role as a contemporary healing modality. Participants will learn about the neurological, physiological and energetic effects of singing bowl frequencies.  Hands on playing techniques will benefit novices and singing bowl aficionados alike.  The workshop will include a sound bath of antique Tibetan bowls.

About the Workshop Leader

A servant of Harmonics, Shakti is co-owner of Bodhisattva Trading Co., Inc. and a portal through which a generation of practitioners of the Healing Arts, sound therapists, musicians, clergy, teachers, yogis and people from all walks of life have discovered singing bowls' healing and transformational power.  She has taught thousands of people to tune their inner landscape using the bowls' frequencies, and continues to educate the public on using bowls as meditation tools.

Shakti lives in Los Angeles with her yellow lab and various cats.

Workshop also available on: Sunday, December 2 at 1:00 PM
