Fabrizio Brua
Spiral Music
Wednesday October 24, 2012 @ 5:00 PM
Fabrizio Brua has been studying sitar in his native Italy with Gianni Ricchizzi and in India with Amarnath Mishra for 22 years. He has developed a playing style that combines his passion for classical Indian and contemporary music. Utilizing the fundamental aspects of classical Indian music; improvisation and modal sound, Brua’s music is both rooted in tradition and intensely original.
Brua has performed in Europe and the United States independently and with, among others, the Living Theater and at Arezzo Wave with the pop/rock group, Loop and R’evolution. He continues to perform, record and collaborate on musical projects in New York City and abroad.
