Digital Dharma is E. Gene Smith’s epic 50-year journey to find, preserve and digitize more than 20,000 volumes of ancient Tibetan text after the devastation of the Cultural Revolution; a story of one man’s mission that became the catalyst for an international movement to provide free access to the story of a people.
Post-screening discussion with the film's director Dafna Yachin, who will be joined by Derek Kolleeny of the Shambhala Meditation Center.
In memoriam Traleg Rinpoche, who was scheduled to have conducted a Q&A in honor of Gene Smith on this date.
Tickets include admission to the museum as well as a 6:15 p.m. guided tour of the exhibition Illluminated: The Art of Sacred Books before the screening.

There is a 24-hour parking lot on the corner of 17th Street and 6th Avenue. In addition, there are parking garages along 17th Street going towards Union Square.
