Lunch Matters is currently on hiatus, but will return Wednesday, June 5.

 

The museum's lunchtime screenings of short documentaries followed by moderated discussions. Visitors are welcome to bring their lunch from the museum café into the theater for this program.

Current Series:

The Story of Buddhism (June 12 - August 28) This series of films by Benoy K. Behl is the first that depicts all of the ancient Buddhist sites of India as well as other Asian countries. The story of the Buddha and of the development of Buddhism is traced through the art and architecture of over one hundred major monuments. The series is presented as a complement to the new exhibition From India East.



Felt, Feelings, and Dreams

This film follows a small group of Kyrgyz women who pull themselves out of crushing poverty by reviving the ancient tradition of making art from felt.
