K2 Friday Nights

Time to Ascend

Museum admission is free Fridays from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. during K2 Lounge.

K2 Lounge
Friday nights Café Serai becomes the K2 Lounge, offering a special Pan Asian Tapas menu to accompany the evening's DJ and unique tours and programs. Happy Hour runs from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a 2-for-1 special on all beer, wine and well drinks.

Please note, Café Serai suspends service Friday afternoons from 4:30 p.m–6:00 p.m. while preparing for K2 Lounge.

Live Music

At 7:00 p.m. enjoy one of the museum's celebrated music series, either Naked Soul or Harlem in the Himalayas.

Films
At 9:30 p.m. catch Cabaret Cinema, where movies and martinis mix. Each film is introduced by a notable guest to provide context or connections with current exhibitions and programming. Past presenters have included Liv Ullmann, Brian Cox, Vito Acconci, Alan Cumming, Benjamin Millepied, and Matt Dillon.

Every second Friday of the month, Museum Guides join professional storytellers from the Talkingstick collective to uncover the many layers of Himalayan art.
