President and Publisher of DC Comics Paul Levitz introduces a film about the world's most famous superhero, an alien orphan sent from his dying planet to Earth.

Paul Levitz is the President and Publisher of DC Comics, with which he has been associated for more than three decades.  As a writer, he is best known for his run on The Legion of Superheroes. Beginning as a freelance writer of text features, he went on to write most of the classic DC characters, including Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Superman newspaper strip.  Born in Brooklyn, Levitz entered the comics industry in 1971 as the editor/publisher of The Comic Reader (TCR), the first mass-circulation fanzine devoted to comic news. He continued to publish TCR for three years, winning two consecutive annual Comic Art Fan Awards for Best Fanzine.
