Albert Maysles and his brother David made up a documentary filmmaking team whose "Direct Cinema" works included Salesman (1968), Gimme Shelter (1970) and Grey Gardens (1976). Jean-Luc Godard spoke of Maysles as "the best American cameraman". In 2005 Maysles was given a lifetime achievement award at the Czech film festival AFO (Academia Film Olomouc). He is currently working on an autobiographical documentary.
Laurie Layton Schapira is a Jungian analyst practicing in New York City. She serves on the faculty and the board of directors at the C.G. Jung Institute of New York and is also a filmmaker. She is the author of The Cassandra Complex: A Modern Perspective on Hysteria.
