Cheryl Henson began her puppet-building career working on her father's The Muppet Show and The Dark Crystal and went on to build and perform puppets in Labyrinth, The Storyteller, and numerous other Henson productions. As an advocate for puppet theater she produced the bi-annual International Festival of Puppet Theater (1992-2000) and is currently the President of the Jim Henson Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors for The Jim Henson Company. She compiled a collection of wisdom from Jim Henson and his friends entitled It's Not Easy Being Green and Other Things to Consider.
