Moving Through Art Family Program
September 4, 2009 - September 4, 2011
Every Week @ 11:00 AM
Price: $10.00
Member Price: $5.00
Translate Himalayan art into imaginative movement and sound inspired by yoga, Indian dance, and music. Children and adults explore art through their bodies, creating a balance of tranquility and excitement through breathing exercises and movement-based games while developing coordination, balance, visual literacy, and sense of rhythm.
July: Colors and Moods
Find colors in art and the world around us. Feel and express through your body how colors make you feel. Each week will explore colors and moods through your body in a different way – using the face, through breathing, through movement and through sound.
August: Himalayan Animals
Discover the animals hidden in the museum and learn animal hand gestures, body movement and sounds inspired by yoga, Indian dance and free movement.
